ANNETTE GARCIA

  • Annette was born in Oahu, Hawaii and raised on Molokai, Hawaii. “Volleyball is in my DNA - Aunt, Uncles, Cousins played and coached while growing up, so I watched and learned fast.” She was a Multi-Sport Athlete - excelled in volleyball, basketball, baseball, & canoeing. During her Senior year, Annette was named MIL Conference Player of the Year. She attended Eastern Arizona College for 2yrs on a full scholarship, and then Eastern New Mexico University for another 2yrs also on full scholarship.. Annette brings us 13yrs of Coaching experience ages 7-18yrs.

  • Andy has spent 12 years coaching club and high school, 5 years coaching private school for Lake Country and Oakridge, 5 years at Fort Worth Fire, 5 years at Texas Image, 1 year at Texas Pistols, but this will be his 1st year at Fieldhouse!

    He has 8 Nationally Qualified Coached Teams and 5 Gold Balls. He is GMS Certified, AOC Certified, and Cap 1 Certified.

  • Coach Toa is a Samoan native born and raised on "the rock". He graduated from USC and was a multisport player in football and baseball. He has been coaching volleyball for over 15 years leading teams to 2 State Titles and 2 National Championship Titles.

DANIEL SALINAS

Recruiting Coordinator

  • Daniel Salinas comes to us from Mean Green Volleyball where is the Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach. He joined UNT after two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at McNeese.

    Daniel was an integral part of the Cowgirls moving from last place finishers in the 2020-21 preseason poll to making a trip to the 2021 Southland Conference Championship for the first time in over 20 years. He coached three all-conference selections and two players from the 2021 all-tournament squad, including UNT transfers Aryn Johnson and Anyse Smith.

    Daniel has also served as an assistant volleyball coach at Sam Houston High School in his native Lake Charles, Louisiana. He coached ten all-district performers, including the offensive, defensive and libero of the year.

    He is a graduate of West Texas A&M University where he served as the student assistant volleyball coach. The Lady Buffs advanced to the conference tournament in both 2015 and 2016.

    Daniel has also coached club volleyball in both Texas and Louisiana with teams advancing to regional and national tournaments.

MISSY MITCHELL-McBETH

Director of Sports Performance

  • Missy Mitchell-McBeth has over 19 years of experience in the coaching profession. She spent 6 years as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas. There she oversaw the development of 13 different sports, over 500 athletes, and trained all sport coaches to assist in the weight room.

    ​Prior to Byron Nelson she was the Senior Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at TCU in Fort Worth, TX for 7 years. There she handled the development of the Women’s Indoor Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Women’s Golf programs.

    Before her time as a full-time strength and conditioning professional, Mitchell-McBeth was a High School volleyball coach for 4 years in Copperas Cove, Texas. She holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from Baylor University, and holds SCCC, CSCS, USAW, FRC, and RPR-1 certifications.

    She owns SaFe Iron, a consulting company that teaches high school sport coaches simplified strength and conditioning systems they can adapt to any environment and co-owns the Conditioning Project, an online training community that improves the health of coaches through a more balanced approach to training.

    Additionally, she serves on the board of directors of the National High School Strength Coaches’ Association, overseeing the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

    ​In her free time, Coach McBeth can be found playing beach volleyball. She and her husband Brian reside in Justin, TX with their four rescue dogs.

AMY GOODSON

Director of Sports Nutrition

  • Amy Goodson, MS, RD, CSSD, LD is a registered dietitian and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. She focuses on overall health, wellness and sports nutrition. Amy has worked with the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, TCU Athletics, Ben Hogan Sports Medicine, FC Dallas Soccer, the NBA G League, the Alliance of American Football League, many PGA Tour players, as well as with thousands of middle school, high school, and endurance athletes. She is the creator of a free sports nutrition program for high schools, the Sports Nutrition Game Plan, is the author of The Sports Nutrition Playbook, a play-by-play on sports nutrition for athletes, parents, coaches, and trainers, and is host of The Sports Nutrition Playbook Podcast. Amy is also the co-author of Swim, Bike, Run, Eat and nutrition contributor to retired NFL Player Donald Driver’s book, The 3-D Body Revolution.

    Amy’s business, The Sports Nutrition Playbook provides robust sports nutrition services for athletes including one-on-one coaching, group programs, meal planning memberships, a supplement shop, and a lab shop. In addition, she owns Amy Goodson RD Courses, a business providing education resources and courses to help dietetic students, interns, and registered dietitians determine and take the steps necessary to reach their dream career.

    With a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in exercise and sports nutrition, Amy is passionate about marrying the two to provide quality, science-based nutrition information through speaking, media, writing, and consulting. Amy is an ambassador spokesperson for the National Dairy Council, speaker for National Cattleman’s Beef Association, partner with Texas Beef Council and Natural Delights Dates, and a speaker and consultant for Gatorade Sports Science Institute. As a veteran on-air nutrition expert, she works to leverage multi-platform media opportunities on broadcast, digital and social media nation-wide. Amy has over 1450 media placements in a variety of TV, radio and print outlets and is on the Medical Expert Board for Eat This Not That.
