Fieldhouse Volleyball Club was established in 2018; 123 years after the invention of Volleyball, 90 years after the founding of USAV, and 16 years after Tim and Marika opened the Fieldhouse Fitness Center in Justin Texas. Fieldhouse Volleyball may be the new kid on the block, but they are learning quickly!

Tim and Marika Scrivner are the parents of four kids. In their spare time, they have started, owned and operated multiple businesses including the three they operate today, Fieldhouse Fitness Center, Fieldhouse Volleyball and Jailbreak Race Events. They have made a habit of leaping before they look, a practice that Marika may tolerate more than endorse!

Fieldhouse Volleyball was born out of the frustration the Scrivner’s experienced as parents, and Aunt and Uncle, of a daughter and nieces who played club volleyball. They saw club sports as the perfect vehicle to teach life lessons that could extend beyond the court. The opportunity to pour into the lives of girls and young women during one of the most insecure times of their lives. The chance to make a generational impact as these young girls will be tomorrows entrepreneurs, CEO’s, community leaders and mothers.

Nobody wanted to take a chance on the new first year club in 2018. Well almost nobody. Fieldhouse fielded four teams that first year and the teams were filled primarily by girls with little to no club volleyball experience. However, Club Director Annette Garcia was able to work some of her Hawaiian magic and got a 13’s team qualified to Nationals. This opened up the flood gates for the next years’ 14’s and younger teams.

The Fieldhouse has now grown to more than 30 teams and makes its home in their new, six court, 36,000sf facility in Northlake. They continue to leap before they look. They believe, as they teach the girls, that you have to suck before you can be decent, decent before you can be good, good before you can be great. They don’t have it all figured out yet, but they are diligently working towards becoming great!
