OUR MISSION

We established Fieldhouse Volleyball with the aim of helping girls excel as athletes and young women, in a safe, nurturing Ohana environment, while holding them to a high standard of behavior and conduct on and off the court.

We believe an “Ohana environment” is one in which the girls feel free to express themselves (in a respectful manner), feel free to fail, and feel free to give and receive feedback without the fear of judgement or ridicule from teammates or coaches. The foundation of an Ohana environment is respect. Respect for authority, teammates, and oneself, are nonnegotiable for us.

We believe in meeting athletes where they are, in order to bring them up to where they need to be, but we must not lower our standards in the process.

We believe in extreme ownership, taking total and complete responsibility for our role in all things, and in teaching (and modeling for) our athletes to do the same.

We believe in protecting the culture we have worked so hard to create, an Ohana where girls can excel as athletes and young women without fear of judgement or ridicule from teammates or coaches.
